Hey thanks mate. May the Bird ron your enemy.
Thanks! ; )
This may be Ritz’s error and not yours, but isn’t the hand on page 26 only 7 tiles away from tenpai? It has 3 and 5 pin, so it’s enough to get a 4 pin, then two tiles for each of the three remaining groups and one tile for the pair: 1+2×3+1=8 tiles including the winning tile, so 7 away from tenpai.
Maybe Oroku's just not as good at mahjong as she herself believes.
Ah, true. Perhaps one of the 3 and 5 pin tiles was supposed to be 1 pin; that would make both counts correct.…Poor Kokoro. :)
Well observed. It is indeed 7 tiles away from tenpai. It's the author's mistake. What's more, I think Kokushi is 7 away from tenpai too and not 6 (there are 6 honor tiles so 13-6=7).But I'm not going to change it unless the authors admit the error because it would mess up the sentence too much. So let´s just imagine it's Kokoro's counting mistake. (sorry Kokoro)
Oh, specifically the 3 pin, because making the 5 pin a 1 pin would still leave the mentsu-te 7-shanten. Anyway, I’m gonna email Ritz about this and we’ll see what happens.
Thanks for all your releases and the effort you put into bringing us translated Saki and Shinohayu!I hope you’ll excuse two comments/suggestions regarding the translation of this chapter.• At the bottom of page 48 (23-35.jpg), I think Harue is trying to say that she expected Shino to act like she (Shino) did in this year’s prefectural tournament but instead Shino acted like she (Shino) did in last year’s prefectural tournament. This makes it clear why Harue let herself deal in and why she remarks that Shino has “no consistency”.• On page 25 (23-12.jpg), I think… uh… whatshername. Naoko, the dark-haired girl, says “Did you just try to distract me (from my question)?” or something along those lines. I suppose she maybe thinks that the other girl’s… Chiyoko’s 6-man pon is what led to her loss, so she’s like, “why did you have to lose and take me with you?” and Chiyoko’s like, “uhh, the weather is sure nice today… I mean, let’s just enjoy our latte, shall we”. This also makes Chiyoko’s reactions and apology in the end make more sense.
Yes, that's right. On page 25, for some reason I thought they were still talking about the durian juice thing. I'll fix both points now.
Thank you for your hard work!!
Wow thx a lot bro
